‘You’re Looking Through the Lens of Your Own Limitation’

January 14, 2020

‘Once we accept our limits we go beyond them.’  - Albert Einstein

Limits like fear are often an illusion.

If you change the lens from which you view yourself and rewire the way you think about you - you start feeling the feeling you want to feel and begin to radiate back to you what you want to attract.

The feeling is never wrong and is the best motivation of all.

Your life is an expression of your inner programs

So rewire the way you think about you with meditation, visualisation, affirmations, inner child work, gratitude and forgiveness.

Remember beliefs are not facts.

Finding and identifying your limiting beliefs is the first step to happiness and progress. With inquiry, awareness, meditation and self-compassion practice - you can see that many of your limiting beliefs are not true.

You may find the following helpful:

1) Feed your spirit with gratitude.

When you’re grateful with what you have in life at this moment in time - now - you clear negative limiting energy and instantly raise your vibration.

Fear and anger are the things that mess people up. You cannot be grateful and be fearful simultaneously. You can’t be angry and grateful simultaneously.

So keep a gratitude list and read and write in it daily.

10 minutes of gratitude a day will heal you and begin to help erase any limiting beliefs.

2) It’s in our power to drop any discouraging thought.

Instead of falling into those familiar feelings of futility over yourself, deliberately drop those discourage-filled thoughts telling you the limit of your present view is the limit of your possibilities.

Who you have been matters only to those dark states that want you to remain that way so that they can continue to rule the day - your brain’s negative bias.

‘Your brain is like Velcro for negative experiences and Teflon for positive ones, even though most of your experiences are probably neutral and positive. -  Dr. Rick Hanson

Refusing to dwell in the world of discouraged thoughts and feelings is the same as opening the door to a new world without limits. Just start working with who you are now.

In other words, do what’s in your power and refuse to be discouraged about anything else. Keep repeating this new action one step at a time until you’ve walked away from the those limiting beliefs.

3) Go quiet and meditate

Meditation will help you rid all the negative thoughts and beliefs that come to the surface through your subconscious when we meditate.

Remember - you are more than enough.

When you let go of something - the only reason you are stressing is your mind can only measure what you’ll lose and not what you will gain.

Think of all the things you will gain……a game changer.

So re-direct your mind on your gains and write down your new empowering beliefs.

4) Feed your mind

The most successful people are hungry. They have a hunger for learning - they don’t get comfortable. When you’re hungry there are continuous breakthroughs because you’re always looking for answers.

‘Comfort zones are where dreams go to die.’ - Oprah Winfrey

So push yourself to your limits - that’s how you truly grow.

Learning new skills and gaining knowledge is a lifetime gig.

Continuous learning, wisdom and focusing on self-education is one of the keys to achieving success in life.

You can draw a wealth of inspiration by reading inspiring books and blogs(!), learning to practice meditation, travel, listening to inspiring music and podcasts, visiting art galleries, museums, theatre, opera, ballet, talks, workshops, retreats, spas, etc., etc.

Your past does not define you.

Dream so big your dreams surpass your limitations.

Remember your subconscious mind does not know the difference between what is real and what is imagined.

So just feel good now.

When you stop chasing anything and you accept yourself as you are without limitation - then that’s when everything will start chasing you.

You will start receiving the love, the joy, the money, etc., etc.

So be brave and push your limits and become a force for good.

Work hard until you’re celebrating your victories!

Have fun.
