‘The past is already gone, the future is not yet here. There’s only one moment for you to live.’ – Buddha
2020 is nearly upon us and a new decade is beginning.
So it’s time to move in the direction of your intentions.
How do you find clarity in the midst of chaos to focus on your intentions?
Meditating every day will help you to move through life and its daily challenges, stressors and drama with greater grace and ease.
Learning to just Be.
Introducing a little break in the non-stop daily flow of thoughts and actions has been proven to have a powerful, life-affirming impact on every part of your life.
Learn to rest deeply.
I learnt to meditate and studied the great spiritual masters like Napoleon Hill, Wallace Wattles, Ernest Holmes (‘The Science of Mind’) and discovered there is a whole body of knowledge on how to create success using energetic principles.
‘Never limit your view of life by any past experience.’ - Ernest Holmes
Meditation anchors you to the silent depths of your own being and is an essential part of my day – 20 mins in the morning and 20 mins in the evening are now the foundation of my day.
‘Learn this from water: loud splashes the brook but the oceans depth are calm.’ - Buddha
It connects you to that deep, inner voice of wisdom that points you in the right direction in any given moment. Otherwise you are at the mercy of circumstances – like a ship without an anchor you’ll get buffeted around all day by daily life and it’s energetic challenges.
When you’re anchored to the silent depths of your own being it will make sure that no matter what happens in your life you will not be blown off course.
Learn the time tested ancient wisdom of meditation from the gurus who have been handing down this knowledge for thousands of years and that is for me through Indian Transcendental Meditation.
How do you learn to silence the mind?
The nature of the mind is to move towards what is going to give it greater and greater satisfaction......so if you get distracted in conversation or you hear your name mentioned somewhere else.... The nature of the mind is to go towards that field of greater pleasure. However the mind will effortlessly settle down when using a mantra in meditation.
A mantra is a sound of which the effects are known and by using this mantra properly it gives the mind something more pleasurable than anything else – so it silences the mind effortlessly without you trying to silence it. When you learn from a qualified teacher they will choose the correct mantra for you.
‘When the student is ready the teacher will appear.’ - Buddha
Quiet the mind and be at peace and meditate.
Learn to be in the moment where there are no problems.
It is impossible to have a problem when your attention is fully in the now.
Meditation helps release our hold on certain patterns of thought. When we are relaxed, our brain waves shift to the alpha state and from there we can imagine or visualise what we want to have happen in our lives.
The way to true prosperity is not just by investing wisely but by changing our thoughts – changing our energy in every domain.
You don’t get what you want – you get what you are.
‘You only lose what you cling to.’ - Buddha
Setting aside quiet time for meditation is a great way to establish a strong spiritual practice and will improve your health and well-being and therefore your energetic alignment and true prosperity.
Meditation is a powerful tool that unlocks the truth. Just 20 minutes twice a day can change your life.
As a meditator I feel my message is to radiate the calm and positive energy I feel.
There is so much power in silence.
Only in silence is sound truly experienced.
The greatest music brought into this world contains rests and pauses to express its presence.
When we express ourselves with authenticity, creativity, integrity and purpose, we are in harmony with the melody of the universe.
‘You are here to enable the divine purpose of the universe to unfold. That is how important you are!’ - Eckhart Tolle
You will transform the world by transforming yourself – I highly recommend meditation as a tool to help you.
Have fantastic festivities and here’s to a brilliant New Year and New Decade!

‘Silence is the soul of sound.’ - Rumi
